Brad Pitt on Angelina Jolie: "I'm so happy to have her."
Now it's Pitt himself who's dredging up those memories, in an interview that will appear in Sunday's PARADE magazine. According to the actor, his marriage to Aniston had its problems, and at first he wouldn't allow himself to admit that.
"It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn?t living an interesting life myself," he tells the magazine.?"I think that my marriage had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn?t."
Pitt, whose latest film, "Moneyball," opens Sept. 23, is much happier now, he says, praising partner Angelina Jolie. "One of the greatest, smartest things I ever did was give my kids Angie as their mom," he says. "She is such a great mom. Oh, man, I?m so happy to have her.?
Pitt also discusses the numerous rumors that keep the couple and their kids in the spotlight, why they adopted foreign-born children, and how he got the scar he bears on his cheekbone. We're guessing it wasn't put there by a swinging purse belonging to a faithful member of Team Aniston, but will have to pick up PARADE to verify that. For now, there are additional excerpts from the interview at parade.com.
